Olivetti lettera 22 model printed typewriter
There are few points in history where form meets function in such a way that together a work of art is born.
Lettera 22 was designed by Marcello Nizzoli in 1950 and was an instant sensation. In 1954 he was awarded the Compasso d’oro prize. In 1959, the Illinois Institute of Technology named Lettera 22 as the best design product of the last 100 years. An example can be found at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.
